Today, I researched how does the opening sequence of a film create meaning. According to https://booksite.elsevier.com/samplechapters/9780240814193/02~Chapter_1.pdf opening sequences create suspense and mystery and it prepares the audience for what is upcoming in the film. The opening scene also sometimes gives credits to all the contributors in the production of the film. 

Opening credits usually go in a specific order. according to https://www.masterclass.com/articles/how-to-order-movie-credits "Credits play at the beginning and end of nearly every film. The opening credits inform the audience which studios or production companies were involved in making the film, and they run the names of the major stars in the cast. The end credits, which appear after the final scene of a film, list everyone involved in the production."
